ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
Our client manufactures and markets a range of industrial products for the Canadian and American markets. With three operational centers, this company employs nearly 600 people and its sales exceed $500 million. To support its growth and address its challenges, we are recruiting a Chief Financial Officer.
DESCRIPTION
The person in this role is responsible for the Finance, Accounting, IT, and HR functions and works closely with the operations leadership team, shareholders, the financial community, suppliers, and key clients as required.
A full member of the executive leadership team, the CFO serves as the principal financial advisor and reports directly to the President.
The CFO is responsible for implementing and maintaining organizational controls within a growing entrepreneurial company, evaluating the financial and operational information systems currently in place, and ensuring the implementation of systems that management considers better suited to the company’s long-term needs.
The role also involves monitoring projected financial results, the company’s financial position, and cash flows, integrating current results while developing long-term forecasts for operating performance and capital requirements.
Finally, the CFO adopts a collaborative approach focused on identifying solutions to address the company’s challenges.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
You are recognized as an excellent communicator and manager who values rigor, collaboration, attention to detail, strategic thinking, and a positive work environment.
Your analytical skills and your ability to quickly grasp and clearly explain complex concepts, combined with a strong aptitude for teamwork, help facilitate the achievement of corporate objectives.
You have 15 years of experience, including at least 3 years as Chief Financial Officer of a large industrial company with operations in Canada and the United States.
