Our client is a major manufacturer of metal and steel products for the construction industry and is undertaking a significant investment aimed at modernizing its operations.
DESCRIPTION
The Manufacturing Director reports to the General Manager and is responsible for manufacturing performance and achieving daily production targets, the proper functioning of production lines, painting operations, and assembly lines. He or she brings together and leads a team of supervisors on a daily basis to ensure the integration of automation technologies into regular operations. Lean Manufacturing principles guide their actions in order to promote a culture of operational efficiency.
Your team consists of 5 foremen and 130 unionized employees.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
You are bilingual, a graduate engineer and member of the OIQ, an excellent communicator and team builder. You have more than 10 years of experience in operations management and in the manufacturing of metal and steel products within a unionized environment. You have a proven track record of success in contexts focused on increasing production capacity, continuous improvement, and the introduction of automation.
