Our client is one of North America’s largest real estate owners and developers. With a strong presence in Quebec, it owns a portfolio of office, commercial and residential space located in strategic areas of the province.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Health and Safety Manager ensures compliance with legislative requirements and corporate standards for both building operations and day-to-day operations. The incumbent will manage and monitor various programs such as emergency response plans, fire safety, physical security and the occupational health and safety program. The Manager will also implement and administer a periodic inspection and risk assessment program to illustrate hazardous conditions and offer recommendations.
You have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in a complex mixed-use property, combined with 5 years’ experience in security management. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong organizational and priority management skills, as well as strong communication skills, are essential to ensure success in this role. A collaborative approach, influential leadership, initiative and a customer service-focused attitude are also required.
