Our client is a non-profit association employing twenty people who have experienced a good growth in recent years. With a mission to fund various projects and programs of vital interest to its members, the organization also aims to improve its offer of services and aid to its users.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Philanthropic Development Supervisor will be mandated to formulate a comprehensive revenue development strategy, put in place the tools and resources that will enable the realization and then actively execute the plan to achieve objectives established for the five-year plan.
In concrete terms, the incumbent will do this by introducing new means of revenue development (primarily a planned donation program) and by optimizing the events, methods and tools already in place. The holding of 3 major events is currently a major source of funding, so the Supervisor will oversee budget management and coordination of these events and oversee the work of two event coordinators.
The desired candidate will ideally be a university graduate with a minimum of 5 years experience in business development, fundraising and / or soliciting partnerships and grants. Recognized for his or her client-centric approach, strategic thinking, relationship and negotiation skills, the successful candidate will be able to lead multiple projects simultaneously. He will also have to develop his or her creativity and flexibility to address certain situation and have the ability and confidence of decision-making. We are looking for a manager who wants to combine both the strategic aspect and the operational (field) of revenue development on a daily basis. Experience in postal solicitation, monthly donations, major donations, planned donations, sponsorship, foundation, grant application, corporate donations, community activity, etc. will be considered assets.
