The Thoracic Surgery Research Foundation of Montreal announces the appointment of a new member to its Board of Directors.
On June 6th, 2015, Montreal – The Thoracic Surgery Research Foundation of Montreal is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Sophie Quevillon as a member of the Foundation’s Board of Director, effective immediately. Ms Quevillon holds the position of Partner at Métivier Consulting Group, an executive search firm. Over the last 6 months, the Foundation has worked repeatedly with Madame Sophie Quevillon on different projects, and every time she has shown a great interest in helping the Foundation.
During her career, Ms. Quevillon has held several senior management positions related to Finance and marketing administration and human resources. During four years, she worked as the Managing Director for the Geriatric Institute Foundation of Montreal and has always been a very active volunteer on various committees, including Cystic Fibrosis Quebec.
“It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome Ms. Sophie Quevillon as a new Board member,” said Dr. Pasquale Ferraro, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “Her wide experience, her knowledge of the philanthropic sector and her dynamism will enrich our reflections and contribute to the development of the Thoracic Surgery Research Foundation of Montreal.”
Ms. Quevillon joins a team of dynamic and dedicated Board members who have at heart the development and influence of thoracic surgery in Quebec.
About the Thoracic Surgery Research Foundation of Montreal
The Thoracic Surgery Research Foundation of Montreal was the brainchild of Dr. Andre Duranceau and Dr. Pasquale Ferraro. The doctors, along with the Minicozzi family, came together to form a foundation that would focus on the needs of clinical care and research in the areas of lung transplantation , thoracic oncology and diseases of the oesophagus. Its mission is to sustain the development of the Division of Thoracic Surgery at Université de Montreal to help create the proper environment necessary for the recruitment of academic thoracic surgeons with an expertise in the field, which ultimately will help them support and maintain their role as leaders in the field of thoracic medicine.
