The Outaouais Transport Corporation is a growing company that aims to provide efficient sustainable public transit solutions that allow the people of Gatineau to move where they live, work, study and play. She is looking for an experienced person to meet the challenges of the regular STO public affairs officer and spokesperson position.

As such, you will implement public relations strategies and programs to promote the Company’s services, projects, policies and activities and ensure its good visibility. You will help the organization achieve its mission and goals by building trust with internal and external audiences. You will prepare, write and distribute press releases, reports and speeches and coordinate activities and corporate or public relations events.

In addition, you will assume a strategic advisory role to management and board members and will act as spokesperson for the Corporation in the media.

Candidate Profile

You have a bachelor’s degree in communication with a focus in public relations or a related discipline, combined with eight (8) years of relevant experience. You have experience in media relations and in the briefing of administrative and political spokespersons as well as in the writing and correction of journalistic type texts. You are able to write texts in a variety of industries, have excellent command of spoken and written French, and can communicate verbally in English. Finally, you can easily express yourself in front of the cameras and your integrity is irreproachable.
