Our customer is a leader in the cosmetics industry. Its decision center is based here in Montreal. In order to cope with growth, he creates a new role in his accounting team.
Reporting to Vice President Finance, the incumbent will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of his team of 20 people (professionals and technicians). The review of the methods of accounting, the preparation and the filing of the management reports. The accounting team will be responsible for the implementation of the following tasks, to build the capacity of each member, and to mobilize the efforts of all to establish the best practice.
This role is perfect for a multi-company environment (merger / acquisition). Perfectly bilingual, the candidate is knowledgeable in internal controls and compliance, cash, financial and budgetary planning, taxation.
The main challenges are:
• Re-organizing the work / process / implementation of new accounting service delivery methods
• Rigorous monitoring of multiple projects
• This company has a complex accounting operations – several product lines (brands).
You have experience in the manufacturing sector where things move quickly. You participated in mergers / acquisitions. You are recognized as a team mobilizer, a leader who has an excellent sense of listening and who can present his strategic thinking combined with a good sense of business.
