Our client is a well-known family SME in its industry, one of school, intercity and chartered transportation. It has 3 facilities on the South Shore of Montreal and serves customers throughout Quebec. It has a total of nearly 300 unionized and non-unionized employees.
Reporting directly to the owner and acting CEO, the Director of Human Resources manages all of the organization’s human resources activities, including staffing, training development and management, OHS records, labor relations and negotiation of collective agreements.
In addition, he or she directly supports and supervises the work of 3 team leaders in their planning, assignment and personnel management. The incumbent will also develop, update and enforce corporate policies while incorporating best management practices into day-to-day operations.
You are ideally bilingual and have a university degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience as a generalist in a unionized and entrepreneurial environment. You are both operational and strategic, positive and innovative leader, able to manage a small team of middle management, excellent communicator and able to collaborate continuously with owner in the decision-making process, if so we want to talk to you!
